The History behind CHART metalworks

Chart metalworks is the creation of a long time sailor, with a nautical Maine background. One day in 2006, surrounded by scrolls of nautical charts in her home, Charlotte Guptill was inspired to incorporate the medium into her designs. In 2008 CHART metalworks was formally launched. Soon after husband John joined to assist with the growing orders in their studio on Custom House Wharf, Portland, Maine. Now with the help of a talented pack of Main based artisans and an expansive collection including maps and territories beyond the US, they handcraft custom nautical chart and map adornments allowing you to capture your most treasured sports across the globe. CHART metalworks is the original custom nautical chart and map jewelry.

Aloha and welcome to..........

Bin a long cold winter and right about now that photo looks darn good to most of us. So as Jimmy would put it. For all you "Fruitcakes" out there I know many of you have been to the "Party at the End of the World" and the day after where wishing you were sitting at a "Beach House on the Moon". However, all you where looking for was "A License to Chill" but instead you ended up on a "Salty Piece of Land" with a "Bama Breeze" rufflin' you feathers on the "Dark Side of the Moon". So, Linda and I would like to remind everyone that we are not "On the Far Side of the World". All that we ask is if you passed "Summerzcool" and then maybe went on to "Domino College" then you are ready for a road trip and some well deserved "Tiki Time".

"Don't Stop the Carnival" but instead dig out the paddles, dust off that 1958 VW bus or thumb it if you must, but make your way to Rock Hall. Oh yea, while you're here don't forget to stop by Smilin' Jake's.

So, you got the place, make a bit of time and pretend that you're "Off To See The Lizard" at the "Outpost" by the bay. Come "Sit Under the Big Top" (not exactly) there is a roof over your head so if the weather changes we got you covered, re-outfit yourself so that "Come Monday"  your not lookin' like "The Captain and the Kid".

Til' then, remember "we always have everything you want but nothing you need".
